Fiji’s iconic heart shaped island resort, Tavarua Island celebrated its 35th anniversary on Friday.

The partnership with the landowners and surrounding villages, visionaries and founders Dave & Jeannie Clark, later alongside Jon Roseman and Rick Isbell created what many call “a slice of heaven in the South Pacific”.

Located in the Mamanuca Island group, the resort is one of the many popular surfer spots located in close proximity to Fiji’s Cloudbreak.

Tavarua has hosted international surfing competitions like the World Surfers League.

According to a statement released by Tavarua Island Resort, from humble beginings, the resort has now been transformed into a  world class surfers travel destination.

“We are excited to be celebrating 35 years of business here on Tavarua Island Resort.

“From what started as a two bure rustic surf camp in 1984 with outside solar-heated shower bags has transformed into an 18 bure world-class surf travel destination resort by 2019.

“Almost all who visit, will return again and again.”
