It also revealed that 72 people charged were under the age of 18 years. The yearly statistics for sexual violence offences are recorded and published separately.

The offences for each month were: January (63), February (58), March (71), April (32), May (112), June (73), July (66), August (144), September (92), October (83), November (73), December (30).

There were 564 victims of the 897 separate serious offences. Of the 564, there were 71 offences where the accused and victim were related to one another.
