Three people were rushed to the Nadi Hospital early this morning after their vehicle went off-road and hit the water.

The two women from Galoa Village, Serua were travelling in the vehicle driven by a 21-year-old when it is alleged he fell asleep causing it to veer of the road and tumbled into in a creek near a bridge at Nabou.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the alleged incident occurred early this morning.

“This morning at about 0030hrs at Nabou Bridge, Nadroga an accident occurred where a vehicle registration number PREVON went off-road and submerged in the water,” she said.

The driver is in stable condition while the two women are reported to be in serious condition.

Investigations continue.
