Pullman Announces Soft  Opening On April 19

The grand opening will be held in May and the confirmed date is still yet to be confirmed.

 

Pullman Nadi Bay Resort and Spa general manager, Kharl Warwick has announced the resorts will hold its soft opening on April 19.

Speaking during the AccorHotels Group cocktail at the Novotel Resort in Lami on Friday night, Mr Warwick said they are into their final interview stages.

Shortlisted staff will be called back for a second interview.

Mr Warkwick added the grand opening will be held in May and the confirmed date is yet to be confirmed.

Mr Warwic said: “Pullman is seen as a very good brand to work for both in Australia and with this being the first five-star resort in Wailoaloa and Pullman hotel in the South Pacific we see that people want to work in hotels because of the opportunities that will get in regards to training, career pro­gression and skills as well.

“The resort will be about global nomads, who love to travel and  love to immerse themselves in culture wherever which is what we have, modern touches with a few Fijian influence all the way through.

“We are going through our second interview stage and we are contacting our employees that we want to come in for a second interview and we are looking to employee 200 people for the opening alone.

“The final staff numbers will be around 350 but at the moment we currently have 30 employees to help in the pre-opening,” he added.

Mr Warwick said the aim is to transform Wailoaloa Beach to what it is going to become.

“We are very exciting to be opening in April and welcoming everyone to the resort,” he added.

“The amount of people who came through during the open day shows the interest in the resort and we just can’t wait for the people of Fiji to see the resort.”

 

Novotel Nadi plans for refurbishment

After having a challenging year in 2018, Novotel Nadi general manager Jack Work said with the recent refurbishment of Accor Group partner Sofitel Resort and Spa, Novotel is expected to begin their refurbishment in the near future.

“I would like to sincerely thank you all for your business, 2018 for us was a really challenging year but we have come through,” Mr Work said.

“For 2019 we are looking forward to your on-going support  seeing the recent development on Denarau and Wailoaloa, for us at Novotel Nadi we are not out of it yet as we are seeking to undergoing refurbishment as well.”

 

Sofitel raises the bar for 2019

Speaking during the cocktail, Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa general manager Vincent Macquet said looking the contiburtion made by our national acarrier, Fiji Airways, this is calling for the Accor Group of Hotels, specifically, Sofitel Resort to raise their game.

“As a company Accor does a lot of businesses with the government and private entity,” Mr Macquet said.

“We are the biggest operators in the Asia Pacific and that is very exciting for us which is our biggest source market.

“The Accor Group brand is known in many destination so being red hot overseas, more planes coming to Fiji, it is all good news for us

“Where does that bring us at Accor hotel?

“We sincerely believe that we need to raise our game, the aim of the exercise is to raise the level of expectation when wakling into the hotel.”
