60 Year Old Killed In Sawani Crash
A 60year old businessman of Sawani is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality.
The victim was involved in an accident yesterday afternoon along Princes Road in Sawani.
The vehicle he was driving while heading towards Sawani from Nausori was allegedly bumped by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction when he tried to make a U-turn.
He was rushed to the Nausori Health Centre but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The road death toll currently stands at 5 compared to 1 for the same period last year.
Meanwhile the two women who were involved in an accident along Nabou have been transferred to the Lautoka Hospital. They remain admitted in serious condition.
The driver is yet to be questioned.
Investigations continue.
