Missing Person Message

Yesterday Police issued a release on an 18-year-old, who went missing last Thursday after she went out clubbing.

Fiji Sun Online posted the Police release on its Facebook page.

Lo and behold the missing person decided to comment that she was back home and that she was fine, sparking a lot of reaction and comments – some scathing – on that thread.

This missing person also decided to message Fiji Sun online to take down the story, because she had returned home.

FYI, missing girl, thank heavens for your safe return, but the story of your return will not be removed.

Sevens fever (1)

Attendance was down in some churches yesterday morning.

Could it be that it had something to do with the 10.36am kick-off of the New Zealand Sevens quarterfinal?

Sevens fever (2)

Word from a leading Philippines hospital, Cardinal Santos, tells of a Fijian patient about to get a blood transfusion. But the patient was more worried about watching the Fiji Airways Fijians play Australia via live streaming.

Sympathetic Filipino medics ensured the patient was able to watch the game, and get the transfusion. Sporting people, those Filipinos.
