Anything to make waves?

National Federation Party member of Parliament Lenora Qereqeretabua learned the hard way about getting facts right- and do not mix rugby with politics. She suggested that Fijian 7s players deliberately lose their upcoming games till teachers and nurses are paid. Yes, exactly. Unfortunately for her, she did not clarify that the teachers who were underpaid had not returned their signed contracts to the ministry and that’s not all- she did not give details of which nurses were not paid. There you go people, Ms Qereqeretabua’s two minute of fame. Perhaps she should give her entire pay towards charity, her money, she can do whatever she wants but one thing she cannot be allowed to do is mix rugby with politics.

Apply some ointment Ms Qereqeretabua because you just got burned.

If photos are to be believed, His Grace Peter Loy Chong was also part of the sevens crowd watching the games in Hamilton. His flock may have received extra prayers from him from the ground.
