Nasilasila Bail Extended
Former national sevens rep Amenoni Nasilasila had his bail extended by the Lautoka High Court yesterday.
Nasilasila appeared before Judge Rangajeeva Wimalasena charged with one count of rape.
Director of Public Prosecutions lawyer Siteri Navia told the court that it was the first call.
She informed the court that the State is seeking 21 days to file the information.
Defence lawyer Una Baleilevuka also informed the court that she will be seeking 21 days to prepare her case.
Justice Wimalasena reminded Nasilasila to abide by the bail conditions that have been set at the Sigatoka Magistrate Court.
The accused is alleged to have raped a 24-year-old woman in Olosara, Sigatoka on December 22, 2018.
The matter will be called for mention on February 18.
