Two men have appeared in Court charged with being in possession of drugs in Nairai, Lomaiviti.

Twenty-five-year-old Emosi Seru Tutuvakatabua, man has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court.

Tutuvakatabua is charged with one count of being found in possession of illicit drugs.

It is alleged that Tutuvakatabua was found in possession of 18.5 grams of marijuana on January 26, 2019 in Nairai, Lomaiviti.

The Police prosecutor had objected to the bail of the accused.

The matter was adjourned for mention today.

A 27-year-old man of Lomaiviti appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Baleisuva Ciqoma Delai is charged with one count of found in possession of illicit drugs.

It is alleged that Delai was found in possession of 70.2 grams of cannabis sativa on January 26, 2019, in Nairai.

The Police prosecutor had objected to bail for the accused.

Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili remanded the accused in custody and ordered him to present one suitable surety for bail.
