Luckless Fijiana 7s Bow Out

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team missed out on a Cup quarterfinal spot after they were beaten by Ireland 24-19 at the Spotless Stadium in Sydney, Australia last night.
The Fijiana side opened their campaign with a 36-12 loss to Canada but bounced back to edge out Russia 21-12.
The Saiasi Fuli-coached side lacked fitness, poor defence and indiscipline play led to their downfall. Replacement winger Raijeli Daveua copped a red card for a dangerous high tackle against Ireland.
In an earlier interview Fuli indicated that they were aiming for a top eight finish.
