Fashion Industry’s Evolvement Amazes Minister

A gathering at Grand Pacific Hotel was told about the importance of the fashion industry to Fiji’s economy.
The chief guest at the Fashion Council of Fiji National Designer Awards last night, Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Premila Kumar, congratulated the council for a job well done.
Mrs Kumar spoke of how amazed she was to see how fashion and design had evolved to play an important role in Fiji’s economy, just like the other industries.

He said participants could also contact them if they wanted to know more about the judging process and criteria.

“For now, we have something to celebrate,” he said.
Jorja Naidu won the Model of the Year award.

“I’m grateful and honoured,” she said.
“It’s incredible to work in the fashion industry.”
She acknowledged her family, the Fashion Council of Fiji and team for their support.
