Men’s Rights!

With all the promotion of women’s rights  and violence against women and children  there has ibeen  calls from some quarters for  a men’s rights movement.

The recent case involving a man being admitted at the Labasa Hospital after he was allegedly injured by his wife on Kia Island could justify such a move to form a body to look after the welfare of men who are at the receiving end of domestic violence.

The alleged incident in the Northern Division happened between 7am to 8am on January 29, 2019 (Tuesday) at a quarters in a school compound on the island, police confirmed  yesterday.

The woman allegedly injured her husband, who is in his 40s, with a gardening fork after an argument.
