Nakelo won the JBT Memorial Rugby 10s tournament on Saturday.
The team won $1000 after beating Kasavu 19-7 in the Cup final. Kasavu received $700
The tournament is in memory of the late Ratu Josaia Bose Tagicakibau, former Tailevu Rugby Union committee member who together with current president, Inoke Qarau, were instrumental in 2016 in the revival of rugby in the province after they relegated to the Vodafone Vanua Championship competition.
The Vueti Tailevu campaign achieved its target with the team promoted to play in the 2019 Skipper Cup Premiership comp
The Turaga-na-Ratu Vunivivi (Nausori) Ratu Lepani Tagicakibau, the elder brother of the late Ratu Josaia, provided $5000 sponsorship for the tournament.
