Resident Magistrate Seini Puamau was officially sworn in yesterday by President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote.

The judiciary welcomed another member to its ranks after the swearing in of a resident magistrate at State House.
Resident Magistrate Seini Puamau was officially sworn in yesterday by President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote.
Ms Puamau holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Post-graduate Diploma in International Affairs and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the South Pacific.
She has worked as a prosecutor for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, a State Counsel for the past 13 years and held a post as Principal Legal officer there.
Chief Justice Anthony Gates, Chief Registrar Yohan Liyanage and Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili were present at the swearing-in ceremony..
