Tahitians Edge Eels In Opener

The Fred Tissot-captained AS Central Sports won their Group B encounter against Henderson Eels in the 2019 OFC Champions League at Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday.

What happened: The Tahitian side edged Henderson Eels of Solomon Island 3-2 under the scorching sun.

Tahiti national rep Sylvain Graglia opened the scoring in the 10th minute.

Eight minutes later Tissot extended the lead from the penalty.

He capitalised on a rebound after Eels goalkeeper Desmond Tutu saved the first attempt.

Halftime: AS Central Sport 2-0 Henderson Eels.

In the 80th minute Lorenzo Tehau added one for the Ligue 1 champion.

In the 86th minute Raynick Laeta came off the bench to score for the Eels first goal 3-1.

In the 90th minute Tutizama Tanito closed the gap.
