Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission Files Charge Against Peoples Community Network Director

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission has filed charges against the Peoples Community Network national director Semiti Qalowasa.
Mr Qalowasa is charged with failure to furnish information to FCCC, which is contrary to Section 119 and 132 of the FCCC Act of 2010.
He is expected to appear in court on February 11.
It is alleged that between January 17-23, 2019, Mr Qalowasa failed to furnish full information, records and copies to FCCC, which were requested by way of ‘Requisition for Information Notice No. FCCC – RI 01475.
This is in relation to inquiry into comprehensive work on the Lagilagi Housing, which was requested by FCCC to PCN.
FCCC chief executive officer Joel Abraham yesterday reiterated the need for traders, service providers and stakeholders to abide by the provisions of the FCCC Act and co-operate with requests made by FCCC.
Because failure to do so may result in FCCC taking appropriate action against them.
