Josephine And Ephraim Ready To Set Standards

The 2019 school prefects for the Christian Mission Fellowship Primary School in Suva were badged during an induction ceremony on Friday.
And Josephine Charlotte Ranadi Tamanisau, who was named head girl, and Ephraim Nayacalevu, as the head boy, want to set high standards.
“I would like to thank my parents for bringing me all the way through my education years,” Josephine said.
“I can say it is indeed an honour to lead CMF Primary School. This is also a great opportunity for me to learn about leadership.
“There is someone that I look up to and that is my dad.”
Josephine wants to attend Adi Cakobau School next year and her aim is to become a doctor.
Head boy, Ephraim Nayacalevu said, he felt proud and would give his best to help the teachers maintain discipline in the school.
He wants to attend Marist Brothers High School next year and aims to become a neurosurgeon.
Deputy head girl Veniana Namuatabu acknowledged her uncle and aunt’s support, but she still missed her parents who passed away when she was five years old.
“My parents have passed away and my uncle is supporting me,” she said.
“He is a British Army Officer and I am staying with my aunty at Cunningham. I thank them for taking care of me and my sister,” she said.
“Today I think of my parents and I really miss them. But I know God has taken them and he also has plans for me.”
Veniana got her mind set on becoming an astronomer and wants to reside in Australia.
CMF Primary School inducted 54 class captains, 26 prefects and four deputies.
Chief guest at the ceremony was the SODELPA MP Lynda Tabuya.
