Spying on the opponents
A senior Fiji football coach, who is helping Lautoka in the OFC Champions League, was spotted spying on opponents Henderson Eels during a training session last week.

The coach, in the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons, drove away from Nadovu Park with some haste when the Eels were alerted of his presence.

Lautoka face the Solomon Islanders tomorrow in a 4pm kick-off at Churchill Park.

A slap in the face for SODELPA
SODELPA as the main opposition party might have thought that the other opposition party, the National Federation Party (NFP) would have voted with them in the election of the Speaker in Parliament yesterday.

However, they got a shock when the 3 NFP parliamentarians voted for Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, the Government’s Speaker’s nominee.

The result was 30 – 21.

They had voted for the best candidate and surely this was a slap in the face for the SODELPA.
