Arnav Singh and Vasvi Chand believe they are well on their way to achieving their career goals of becoming doctors.

This was after the Nadi Sangam School student were inducted as student heads in a ceremony at the school yesterday.

The duo are the first in their fami­lies to be given the role and respon­sibility.

Head boy, Arnav, said: “To be given the honour to lead such a big number of students is a big achievement for me.

“My parents are most proud and happy of my achievements and I am so thankful to the teachers for also having the trust in me to lead the stu­dent council.

Though he was surprised, Arnav said the leadership role will shape him to be a better person.

Head girl, Vasvi, said there was no time to waste.

“Being selected as the head girl of the school is like a big title for me. I feel honoured that the school has rec­ognised my leadership qualities to also appoint me to assist in leading the student council.

“I see this leadership role will give me a step forward in my future ca­reer job of being a doctor.”
