Chief of Staff of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces: Your efforts today will shape your careers

Captain (Navy) John Fox has reminded junior officers that the effort they make in carrying out their duties will shape their careers.
The Chief of Staff of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Headquarters was speaking to junior officers during the 1/ 19 Junior Staff Officers (JSO) Course this week, in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
“The amount of effort you put in to whatever staff work you are required of will shape up your career as an officer,” he said.
“Writing of after-action reports, incidents and other circumstances relative in nature will certainly impart knowledge and skills that will benefit your duty as a staff officer to any area of work you will be assigned to.”
He said that the effective staff work was a significant key to all military forces and institutions as it will complement effective command and leadership resulting in successful planning in major military operations.
20 commissioned officers are attending the 1/19 JSO course, 18 from the RFMF, one from the Fiji Police Force (FPF) and one from the Fiji Correction Services (FCS). The course ends on March 22.
