MAKOI MUSLIM PRIMARY SCHOOL: Adi Miliana And Pratik To Lead

New roles began for Adi Miliana Ratumaikoso and Pratik Narayan yesterday when they were installed as Makoi Muslim Primary School’s new head prefects.
The newly appointed student leaders expressed the importance of their new responsibilities and the part they would play in the school year.
“It is not easy to be chosen as the head girl of the school. I know I need to work hard and do my best in my role,” Adi Miliana said.
“I need to be a role model to the students and also to my younger brother and sister.”
Pratik said: “I felt happy because this is an achievement for me. I hope to help the students to become better.”
According to the head teacher Mohammed Jalim, the school also had an introduction of leadership at the kindergarten level as well.
“This year kindergarten prefects were also included in the prefect induction.
“We wanted to introduce it at an early education level because we wanted the children to be familiarised with leadership.
“From that early age they know that there is a leader in a class,” he said.
63 prefects were inducted at Makoi Muslim Primary School yesterday.
