RKS Search For New Talent In Athletics

Ratu Kadavulevu School is searching for raw talents ahead of the Fiji Secondary School Athletics Coca-Cola Games in April, acting principal Walesi Soqoiwasa says.
The Lodoni school held their interhouse competition yesterday and teachers were on the lookout for athletes with the potential to lead their campaign at the Coke Games.
The competition sees houses Cakau, Degei, Ma’afu and Sukuna contest for athletics supremacy, with the winners to be announced today
One athlete that stood-out was blue ribbon winner Koliono Radrudru of Cakau house.
Radrudru finished the race in 10.74s (unofficial) and will be central to RKS’s ambitions of defending the Coke Games.
Top athletes from the interhouse then qualify for the Tailevu Zone next month, where making the cut for the Coke Games will be the priority.
RKS will come up against other top Tailevu schools, including arch rivals Queen Victoria School, Lelean Memorial School and Tailevu North College.
Degei House are in the lead with 10 gold, 10 silvers and 11 bronze medals. Competition continues today
