William Cross Win Dudley Interhouse

William Cross House won the 2019 Dudley High School’s interhouse athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium, Suva yesterday.
The athletes in yellow collected 27 gold, 24 silvers and 21 bronze medals, David Cargill House second with 24 gold, 17 silvers, 16 bronze medals. Third was John Hunt House with 19 gold, 18silvers, 20 bronze while Thomas Baker werefourth with 18 gold, 18 silvers,18 bronze..
Assistant principal Uraia Toribau told SUNsports the focus is on maximise participation as they try to improve their performance at the Coca-Cola Games.
“We’ve 1100 students in Dudley and this year is totally different from last year as we trying to maximize participation,”Toribau said.
“Almost all the students participated during the interhouse except for those who were sick.
“We are very fortunate to be blessed with a fine weather which enabled us to host a good competition today.
“And comparing our athletes from last year we have quite a number of potential athletes in our school which we are hopeful to win medals for the school.
“So, we eventually we will take one step at a time and focus accordingly on the zone and then the Coca- Cola Games respectively.
“I am grateful to the old scholars, parents and teachers for their never ending support in making the inter-house meet possible.”
