Degei secured a memorable win at the Ratu Kadavulevu School inter house athletics competition in Lodoni amassing 17 gold, 14 silvers and 17 bronze medals yesterday.
Cakau came second (15 gold, 11 silvers, 9 bronze), Ma’afu third (10 gold, 9 silvers, 11 bronze), Sukuna fourth (9 gold, 17 silvers ,14 bronze).
Degei House came into the final day in pole position to win the competition with 10 gold, 10 silvers and 11 bronze medals.
They finished winners after strong performances in the track and field events,
The defending Coca-Cola Games champions now turn their attention to the Tailevu Zone scheduled for March 28 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
From there, the Lodoni-based school will look to mount a successful defence of the Coke Games boy’s title which they won after 21 years.
