Nagasau: Japan On Our Mind

The Saiasi Fuli- coached Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team have nine weeks of preparation to form a formidable side for the HSBC World Women Sevens Series at Kitakyushu, Japan on April 20-21.
The side are in Pool C alongside USA, who are currently second in the series standings, Ireland, who reached the Cup semi-final of the Sydney 7s and England.
“We have left the Sydney 7s behind us and are focused for the Japan leg,” Skipper Rusila Nagasau said.
“It is important that we iron out our mistakes as we still have about eight weeks to prepare well.
“Most of the girls left sevens to concentrate on fifteens but now we are back and we’re working on our fitness.” The 15-member squad took to the Sigatoka sand dunes yesterday.
Injured players joins team
Back training with the team are injured players Luisa Basei and Akanisi Sokoiwasa.
The team break camp today and will resume training on Monday.
