He says: “We are a family owned tradition of excellence with staff who are passionate and inspired everyday to give their best serving our customers.”

Comments on the award

Mr Puamau said: “This award is really special for me as I was inspired by a collective dream of the Fiji tourism industry pioneers many years ago, the dream of     impacting the lives of our people.

“Today we should be proud of what we have become as an industry, because it is an industry with the force for good.

“We are changing the lives of our people, every single tourist that you welcome whether you’re a transport operator or a hotelier, you are creating a job in the   industry.”

Mr Puamau thanked everyone that contributed to his journey in the industry.

“I want to thank the committee for recognising me with this award and I accept it humbly on behalf of all of us and all the mentors that has helped me along the way.

“I look forward to working with all of you in making our destination stand out in the years to come.”

Eroni Puamau’s Passion

“My passion is building an enduring company where people are motivated to invent and create great experiences that will make a difference in the lives of those who come from around the world to seek happiness in our islands, our way of life and my people,” he said.

“Our journey in making a difference is one of continual innovation with the customer in mind and to be always in a state of continual becoming where we are creating new values rather than competing with what everyone else has.

“Inventing the future is all about making those tiny improvements every day.”
