We’re Ready, Says Ba Manager

With Lautoka FC ruled out of the OFC Champions League, the Ba football side are confident of a better placing.
“We’re not going to take our opponents lightly, the boys have been training seriously and they know the standard they have to play in,” Ba FC manager Arvind Singh said.
“Our boys have played in Champions League before so they know what the expectations are.”
Singh told SUNsports that being in the same group with defending champions Team Wellington have really pushed his players to work hard.
“The boys are showing so much interest as they are required to play on the same platform with Wellington.
“I know that we’ve some tough opposition in our group but the boys are all positive about it and this competition will be a good exposure for them.
“I’m taking this opportunity to give the boys more exposure so they could go and play another level of football which is internationally.
“The boys have been performing well, they have been having two training sessions in a day- morning and afternoon and are committed to it.”
Singh said he was proud of his young players who will get some exposure of playing away from home.
“Of course it will be a challenge for the boys to play away from home, but I’m glad that I have some senior players who have had experience in playing away from home.
“We will be not only representing Ba, but all of Fiji, so it will be good to get the people’s support and we ask them to pray for the boys.”
Singh said he is pleased to have some new players in the team as it augurs well for the future.
“We want to win and bring the title home. So we will take it game by game. The morale is very high in camp, he added.
Ba FC will be playing in Vanuatu against Team Wellington, on Saturday February 23 at 3pm.
On Tuesday, February 26, at 6pm they take on Erakor Golden Star. Friday, March 1, at 2pm Ba take on Kiwis.
