ANZ Fiji has announced the appointment of Renuka Kumar as Head of Retail, reporting to Saud Minam, Country Head Fiji.

Ms Kumar has held a number of roles with ANZ Fiji, including Branch Manager and Assurance Head Pacific for Retail Business.

Mr Minam said: “Retail is a large and important part of our business in Fiji, supporting approximately 200,000 customers.

“We have made significant investments in our Retail business over the past 18 months, including refurbishing three branches last year, with three more by the middle of this year.

“We are playing a lead role in the adoption of digital and we were the first major bank to introduce a Pacific-wide mobile banking app for Retail customers. We’ve since released an updated version with enhanced features.

“We also became the first bank in Fiji to enable UnionPay card holders to make contactless payments using their card, phone or smart watch on any ANZ EFTPOS terminal.

“We want to continue to take a lead role in helping Fijians get ahead in life and become more financially confident.

“I know Renuka is looking forward to this new challenge and bringing her experience to the role. I’m pleased we were able to make this appointment internally, because it recognises the strength of our local talent.”
