U20 Players To Compete For Spots

The Fijian Under-20 extended squad members marched into camp and started with their first training session at Bidesi Park, Suva yesterday.
Speaking to SUNsports, Fijian U20 head coach Kele Leawere confirmed that they have 35 players in the extended squad and they’re anticipating the arrival of some of the overseas based- players next month.
“We’ll conduct another fitness test for the overseas-based players and trim the number of players down to 26,” the former Flying Fijians lock said.
“There has been a lot of interest from the overseas players to join the side which will create a lot of competition in camp if they’re to make the final 26.
“So at the end of next month we will name the final squad for the 2019 World Rugby Under-20 Championship.”
The 2019 World Rugby U20 Championship will be played on June 2-22 in Argentina.
