Tovata Athletes Top Nasinu Secondary School Inter-House Meet

Tovata won the 2019 Nasinu Secondary School inter-house athletics competition at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.
They amassed 38 gold, 31 silver and 20 bronze medals, Rawiriwiri second (23, 15, 12), Qaraniqio third (19, 28, 40) and Tanoa fourth (18,23,22).
Head of Department Physical Education Music Art and Craft (PEMAC) Isikeli Kalouniviti said:
“The most interesting thing is that we have a new house which is Rawiriwiri.
“The inclusion of the fourth house created a lot of competition for the best athletes to qualify for the zone and Coca-Cola Games in April.

“We started off our inter-house competition on Monday with the Shot Put and discus events.
“And there had been some good performance from junior and sub junior girls.
“And we are looking at attaining some medals form those grades in the upcoming zone meet.
“The students have been preparing for the past three weeks for this inter-house and we are grateful that we didn’t sustain any major injury.
“We are grateful to the school staff, management and parents for their support in making this Interhouse possible.”
