Lieutenant Robinson Graduates From Plymouth University

Lieutenant Jervis Robinson of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Naval Division is the first Fijian to graduate with a First Class Pass and Post Graduate Diploma from Plymouth University.
Commander Guy Haywood of the British Royal Navy had to fly in from Wellington, New Zealand, to hand over Lieutenant Robinson’s certificate.
He said Lieutenant Robinson was a dedicated student who had worked hard to meet the academic rigours of this course, achieving a well-earned First Class Pass and Post Graduate Diploma from Plymouth University.
“He has diligently conveyed his breadth of experience and theoretical knowledge and with modest confidence,” he said.
“Lieutenant Robinson had continually sought to gain benefit from the course and had produced accurate work, which had proved his understanding of survey operations.”
Speaking to the Fiji Sun after the award, Lieutenant Robinson said he was happy completing the course successfully and thanked the Fijian Navy Commander, Captain Humphrey Tawake and senior officers for having faith in him to attend the course.
Captain (Navy) Humphrey said Lieutenant Robinson had attended a similar course in India.
