2019 Touch Rugby World Cup: Touch Rugby Fiji Coach Confident

With 61 days to go for the 2019 Touch Rugby World Cup and the pool draws being out, the Fiji Men’s open and mix teams are looking forward to give their best performance.
Fiji Touch Rugby open men/ mix teams head coach Jack Sade said preparations are on track as they aim to finish on the top three positions.
“Our preparations have been on going as we have been conducting two training sessions daily,” Sade said.
“All fourteen players in both teams are excited and looking forward to compete after the final pool draws for the world cup was released.”
He said the World Cup would be a major platform for the players to prepare for the Pacific Games in Samoa, which is from July 7-20.
“Both the teams are aware of their opponents in the pool and I know the level of game they need to deliver. “Unfortunately, in the past years we were not able to compete in the World Cup and Pacific Games due to financial challenges but this year we are pleased to confirm our participation in both competitions.
“We would also request business houses for their assistance in helping our teams with their levies for the Pacific Games,” Sade added.
The 2019 Touch Rugby World Cup will be played from April 29 to May 4 in Malaysia.
