Tributes Pour In For Sister Genevieve Loo

St Joseph’s Secondary School Alumnae had expressed with great sadness the death of its former principal Sister Genevieve Loo.
Sister Genevieve was also the longest serving principal of the all girls Suva-based Catholic school.
A statement on their social media page stated that Sister Genevieve passed away on Wednesday morning at the Home of Compassion following her surgery from a fall she had some weeks ago.
“Rest in peace Sr Genevieve, you are sorely missed but your legacy lives on with all of us,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Cluny Sisters in the province of New Zealand and the Philippines announced her death in a statement.
“Her sudden passing will leave a big gap in our Fijian community and the province. Her expertise and her presence will be greatly missed by many,” the statement said.
“Our sincere condolences to her family and friends around the globe. May our dear Sister Genevieve rest in the peace of our Lord.
“Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.”
Sister Genevieve was 78 years old at the time of her death.
