Big Human Resources Meeting In Nadi Next Week

The Fiji Human Resources Institute will be hosting the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management Board Meeting at the Radisson Blu Resort on Denarau on March 16.

As a lead activity to the APFHRM Board Meeting; the FHRI has put together a one-day Networking Forum on Friday, March 15 at the same venue.

It is made up of a good blend of local and international speakers who will address the forum on various thematic areas.

The theme for the forum is “The Economic Impact that HRM has on Business Success”.

The Forum is open to directors, chief Executives, senior executives, HR executives & practitioners and other interested stakeholders.

FHRI president Kameli Batiweti said: “Next Friday, FHRI is hosting a forum where the leaders of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resources Management, will convene.

“These are the big guns of human resources that are coming in from all over Asia. In fact some of them are speaking in a conference this week in India.

“They speak all over the world and so they come in for their board meeting next Saturday, and they have agreed to speak to people like us.”

He added FHRI is very grateful to Coca Cola Amatil general manager People and Culture Susan Lowe who are among the speakers for the event.

Furthermore, Mr Batiweti reiterated that the Fiji HR Institute Awards 2019 is still open and inviting applications.

“We can’t wait to celebrate and recognise the professionals and organisations that go the extra mile to deliver outstanding results and are excelling in giving a new direction to the standards of human resources strategies and initiatives,” Mr Batiweti said.

“We invite you to submit your application and be part of our journey to recognise and share across excellent standards of human resources.”
