Gareth Baber has called on all Fijians to support the team as they battle for top finish in the remaining four tournaments of the 2018/2019 World Rugby Sevens Series

“Keep supporting and believing in us, we doing everything we can to get the results and top the table, “Fiji Airways Fijians 7s coach said.

Africa in fourth position with 89 points.

Baber’s men beat USA 24-14 in the bronze medal playoff. The Fijian side defeated New Zealand in a close encounter 22-21 in the Cup quarterfinal and were hammered by South Africa 31-12 in the Cup semifinal.

Baber admits even though injuries took its toll in the team resulting bronze medal finish he was impress on how the players continue to put on a brave performance throughout the tournament.

“Sometimes you go to tournament and you are not where you need to be but you can’t stop working hard, ”Baber said.

“You got to look at yourselves and make sure you put it back on the field that is where our men were excellent.

“We went through a lot of challenges, we have done it before and we reminded the players to work hard for the people back home and they gave their best.”
