Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors rep Veresa Tuqovu will make his debut at outside centre  against Junior Japan in the second round of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge at 5pm today.

The Galoa, Bua native is part of the Fijian U20 squad and his father Aporosa Ramototabua is excited to watch his son.

“I’m happy that my son has finally making his first appearance with the Warriors side. His very young but it will be an exciting start for him,” Ramototabua said.

Tuqovu, who have maternal links in Wailotua, Wainibuka started his rugby career at Natabua High School and later joined Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute. His the eldest of five siblings.

“God has guided me to where I am today,” he added.

Duo Tuqovu and Tuidraki Samusamuvodre will man the midfield and have already earning praise from head coach Senirusi Seruvakula.

“Tuidraki is back to full fitness which brings him into the run on team and after seeing Tuqovu put in some solid work this last few weeks against the Warriors, we’ve put him in there to get capped and see how he can perform at this level.  I believe he’ll go well,” Seruvakula said.
Moemoedonu debuts

Vodafone Fiji Under 20s captain Raikabula Moemoedonu  will also make his debut at  blindside flanker pushing Mosese Voka to the locks.

Frank Lomani will continue to lead the team.
