Fiji has become my second home, says outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Vishvas Sapkal.

Mr Sapkal’s three-year term has come to an end and he will leave on March 19.

“I have enjoyed every moment here with all the love, caring and warm bula smiles of Fiji,” he said.

“I acknowledge all the support from the Fijian President, the Prime Minister, the Ministers, Members of Parliament, the Speaker, dignitaries and all the religious organisations and other organisations that had supported me.”

He said that he was happy he had given his contributions to Fiji during his term.

These include boosting the Fiji-India relations.

Mr Sapkal will be serving at their Headquarters in Delhi in the next three years.

If given a chance, he said he would love to return to his second home.

Meanwhile, Mr Sapkal paid a farewell call to the Speaker of Parliament, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, yesterday.
