Roy Krishna Here For Fiji

Fiji and Wellington Phoenix striker, Roy Krishna is looking forward to train with his Vodafone Fijian football teammates.
Krishna arrived yesterday but unfortunately could not play in last night’s clash against New Caledonia at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
He’s hopeful to make the starting team in the second friendly against Mauritius at Churchill Park, Lautoka on Sunday.
“We’ve a very young squad, a lot of new faces so there will be a lot of challenges and I can’t wait to train with them,” he said.
Krishna was content with his recent achievement on being the leading goal-scorer for Wellington Phoenix in the A-League.
“It’s far from the Golden Boot award and I’m just going to play every game if given the opportunity. “I was happy with the 3-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday. Unfortunately I was red carded but that was the learning experience for me.
“I’m just keeping myself fit and injury-free.”
Krishna added the deadly gun attack at the Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand was a sad situation to think about.
“It’s sad to see something like that happen in New Zealand. It is like my home and to see people to go through this, I’m just sad about it,” he added.
