Vodafone Fiji has again stepped in to become the telecommunication partner of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament which gets underway tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.

In a press conference in Suva yesterday Vodafone Fiji sponsorship manager Adriu Vakarau said they are proud to be associated with the country’s longest running 7s tournament.

“We’ve seen the growth of the Marist 7s and Vodafone is proud to be associated with the tournament,” he said.

As telecommunication partner, Vakarau says, they are going to provide wi-fi to the six stations based at the stadium and all communication support to all the tournament officials who are basically volunteers.

Marist Rugby Club president Lawrence Tikaram said they are a few days away from the start of the country’s biggest 7s spectacle.

“I thank Adriu and Vodafone for their foresight in supporting the tournament.

“This is a timely support from Vodafone and we’re grateful to them.”
