Richly Bule is the first lawyer in family and for his village back in Vanuatu.

The 29-year-old graduated with a Law Degree during the University of the South Pacific’s graduation ceremony yesterday.

He dedicated his success to his wife Anne Thyna, his parents and to everyone in his village, Novunilli, in Vanuatu.

“When I completed high school I did not have any specific ambition or a career plan,” Mr Bule said.

“My father told me that they were facing some difficulties with land issues in the village.

“And he asked me to pursue law so that I could represent them one day if the need arises.

“So I always kept that in mind and I did this for my family and for my village.”

He said his aim was to work for the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Vanuatu when he returned home.

“Whatever I have been struggling for these past four years has been accomplished, so now it is time to look ahead and prepare for the next phase of life,”
