Raffles Gateway Hotel In Nadi $3.15 Million Refurbishment

Raffles Gateway Hotel in Nadi is undergoing refurbishments worth around $3.15 million.
Hotel Location
The hotel, situated directly opposite the entrance of Nadi International Airport has been a popular destination for tourists arriving and departing the country.
This is because of its close proximity to the airport.
An old steam train in the front of the hotel have added to its grandeur and beauty.
Akshay Singh, director Sales, Marketing and Strategic Planning for Raffles Hotels and Resorts which own the hotel, said while the public area refurbishments have almost been completed.
Public Areas Refurbishment
Mr Singh said “We have almost completed our full public areas refurbishment at the hotel.”
This includes a full refurbishment of our bar, restaurant, café, reception and poolside area.
“We have spent more than FJ$650,000 on this refurbishment.
“The style of the refurbishment supports the original colonial design of the hotel, bringing out classic and classy colours with a plantation colonial theme.”
Room Refurbishment Programme
Fiji Gateway will be embarking on a two-year room refurbishment plan from May to June 2019.
This will include a full refurbishment of all 95 rooms at the hotel.
“We will be spending almost FJ$2.5 million on this room refurbishment.
“Our goal is to open the hotel as a four-star hotel in mid-2020.
Transforming it from a three-star transit hotel to the leading hotel in close proximity to the the Nadi International Airport.”
Meanwhile the Fiji Gateway Hotel will be celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary in October.
