Pastry Heart Restaurant is now opened in Labasa Town from 7am to 10pm and seven days in a week.

The business opened by Achal Bhawna Prasad, 29, of Bulileka, Labasa, is located at Amrit Arcade.

The youngest of three siblings was able to achieve her dream business after working for five different companies within ten years.

“After completing Year 12 at Vunimoli Islamia College I completed a certificate course in cookery and pastry and certificate in cake with Ministry of Youth and Sports,” Mrs Prasad said.

“Although I know there are many restaurants with good customer base, I still decided to take up this challenge as a female and young business entrepreneur because I want to live my dream.

Mrs Prasad said: “What is unique about my business is that I provide all kinds of dishes, pastry and cakes for every need and occasions, seven days in a week.

“Basically everything is provided under one roof for an individual and family and it’s the only shop opened for longer hours.

“I would like to thank my husband Kritesh Prasad and parents for supporting my dream,” she said.

“I believe in women empowerment and hence I have employed eight female staff working on shift basis.

She likes to encourage women in our society to never feel belittled and do what they can do best.”
