The country could not wait to watch Roy Krishna live in action and the A League star did not disappoint.
His 58th-minute goal rescued the Vodafone Fijian football team against Mauritius yesterday, but the nippy forward’s influence in the 1-0 win was more than just about scoring.
Fiji did not create too many chances going forward and that’s when you need your best players to stand up and take responsibility.
Krishna, in that context, is a leader of men. It is hard to see Fiji winning anything at the July Pacific Games in Samoa without him.
