Villagers Happy With Extra Government Services

The Cakaudrove Tikina (district) Council meeting for Nasavusavu has heard about how happy villagers are with the extent of Government services being provided to them.
The meeting was held at Naidi Village last Thursday and was opened by the chairperson and Tui Nasavusavu.
Representatives from Government ministries and departments were also present.
“The most discussed issue during the meeting was the services provided by the Births, Deaths and Marriages Office,” Provincial Administrator Setareki Dakuiboca said.
“However, the services provided are not limited to the issuing of births, marriage and death certificate only, but has extended to the registration of companies, businesses and churches.
“Another service that has been brought to their doorstep is the provision free legal advice by the Legal Aid Commission.
“Whatever services that the public go to Labasa/Suva for are readily available here in Savusavu town,” Mr Dakuiboca said.
The communities are happy about the provision of these services.
Meanwhile, the Cakaudrove Advisory Council also had their meeting yesterday. The main issues highlighted were development projects being undertaken.
There are 40 representatives from the settlements in Savusavu.
There are 132 villages and 16 tikina (districts) in the province Cakaudrove.
