Nausori Town Council Wins Praise For Clean, Safer Public Facilities

People of Nausori have praised their Town Council for providing clean public convenience facilities for them, however some believe there can still be improvement.
They were thankful that the Nausori Town Council has improved and has provided adequate public conveniences.
Taxi driver, Parmod Pratap, 37, said he was happy with the public convenience facilities provided by the council for ratepayers and visitors to Nausori Town.
“I always use the Market Public Convenience facility because it is always clean. Yes I have to pay, but I don’t mind paying because I get to use a clean toilet,” Mr Pratap said.
“And the best part is that there is also a shower. The Nausori Town Council is doing a good job in keeping the public convenience facilities clean.”
Bus driver, Vatiliai Seru said the washroom provided at the Nausori Bus Stand was clean, but he believed they can still improve.
“It is always clean, but I think they can provide hand wash and maybe air fresheners, especially for the men’s section,” Mr Seru said.
“We don’t have to pay much so it is okay.”
Stall owner at the bus stand, Alfaz Rezwhan said the public convenience facilities had improved compared to the old ones.
“It is safe because there is someone at the booth so no one can rob people when they go in,” Mr Rezwhan said.
“The facility is now clean unlike before. Since I owe a stall it is free for me, but the others have to pay.”
In Nausori there are four public convenience facilities available.
