Christopher Pryde For Seven More Years

The Judicial Services Commission has re-appointed Christopher Pryde as the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Chief Registrar Yohan Liyanage yesterday congratulated Mr Pryde and confirmed that the appointment is for seven years.
He said that a number of people had applied and the position was given to the most meritorious applicant.
Mr Pryde has been the DPP for a number of years now and transformed the Office of the Director of Prosecutions under his leadership. He has also served as the country’s Solicitor-General in the past.
President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote in informing Mr Pryde of the reappointment said: “Having already served in this high office you know full well the gravity and importance of your duties for the State and people of Fiji.
“I congratulate you on your re- appointment and wish you the strength and courage to perform your role effectively and with utmost integrity.”
