Fiji 7s Rugby: Watch Out For Tuimaba
Fiji Airways Fijian 7s rep Aminiasi Tuimaba.

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team head coach Gareth Baber has rated speedster Aminiasi Tuimaba as a great player who has been developing throughout the season.

Baber said: “Aminiasi Tuimaba is learning quickly every tournament and he has adopted some good behavior in terms of getting his skills upright and being able to cope with the level of intensity and the nature of the game.

“We, as the coaching staff, have been working with the players in trying to develop them – and Jerry Tuwai and Paula Dranisinukala are examples of it.

“This is also Tuimaba’s first ever Hong Kong 7s and the challenge is great.

“We as coaches need to support these players and try to elevate and help them to play what his capable of and that’s the trick.

“And I know Hong Kong has been always special for these players and I have seen Aminiasi play in previous tournaments and he has a little bit of pressure on him now.

“He is a good man and I trust him with the kind of person he is and he has got a long way to go in his sporting career.”

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with arch-rivals New Zealand, Australia, and Kenya.

Fiji meets Kenya at 11.37pm today in its opening pool match. They will then play Australia at 5.13pm tomorrow before taking on New Zealand at 8.55pm.

The cup quarterfinals start at 2.58pm on Sunday, cup semifinal final begins at 7.41pm and the cup final kicks off at 11pm on Sunday.
