Mosese Voka Weds Sweetheart Wainise Lavaki

Fiji Airways Fijian Drua captain Mosese Voka married his sweetheart Wainise Lavaki in a traditional setting on the island of Vio, off Lautoka, yesterday.
The couple, draped in traditional masi, exchanged their vows in front of friends and relatives at the Patimo Methodist Church.
Voka, who was the Domestic Player of the Year and Fiji Drua Player of the Year during the 2017 Fiji Rugby Union Awards, said he was happy to take such a big step in life.
“It is a big day for me to finally tie the knot on the island where I grew up,” the Naibalebale, Viwa, Yasawa native said.
“There is more meaning to life when you undergo these sacred moments especially when reciting your wedding vows in front of the Talatala.”
Lavaki, 32 who hails from Tubou in Lakeba, Lau said it was a proud moment for her.
“It is a grand day for me and Voka. I will continue to support him in his rugby career just as before,” she said.
Voka added: “I am looking forward towards the fifteens season with the Drua, and also the Rugby World Cup, I will give my best shot.”
The 34-year-old National Fire Authority officer has been doing well since he started playing for the Lautoka Maroons in 2013, Suva 2014– 16 and Namosi to date.
He has been part of the Fijian Warriors side and made his debut for the Flying Fijians against Samoa during the 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifiers in Suva in June 18, 2016.
Voka took over the captaincy armband when John Stewart was ruled out and led the Drua to a historic win of the Australian National Rugby Championship
