Tiliva 7s organisers received a $15,000 boost from Silverwaters Fibreglass Fiji in Suva yesterday.

The sponsorship will go towards the prize money for the two-day tournament which will be on April 25-26.

Silverwaters managing director Frank Hamagushi said supporting the tournament is one way to give back to the people of Kadavu.

“Silverwaters is a rural based- initiative started seven years ago and now is a full licensed boat building facility operating from the rurals of Ovea, Bau, Tailevu,” he said.

“The people of Kadavu have played a major role as they have full trust in our rural brand and our product. Over the years we have more of our boat sales coming from our good people from Kadavu.

OBJECTIVE

“Our objective since inception is to create an opportunity to up skill and create pathway for our rural and underprivileged youths and individuals.

“In my view it’s only fair and just for Silverwaters Fibreglass to give back to people of Kadavu,” he added.

Tiliva 7s committee executive Marika Koroibiau acknowledged Silverwaters for their support.

“With only 20 days left for the tournament we thank Silverwaters company for coming on board and supporting us.

“We only have 13 spots left to be filled,” he said.

The winning team walk away with $5000 while the netball winners receive $1500.
