Navosa To Host Government Expo

The Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development along with the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs will coordinate the first Government Services Expo at Vatumali Government Station in Keiyasi, Navosa.
The expo is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday is targeted to cater for 7000 people in Navosa including villages in the Ba province.
The expo will be opened by the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, who will be accompanied by government ministers and permanent secretaries from the different ministries.
Expo co-ordinator, Ana Tora said, transport was arranged for the 43 villages in Navosa because the Government aims to bring in more people to access the services they needed.
“We will be aligning ourselves to six strategic objectives during the two-day event so we can be focused and serve the people of Navosa” she said.
“They include enhancing awareness, identifying key stakeholders and building strong partnerships, community capacity building, inducing a shift in mindset, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of the services expo.”
Meanwhile, the second Government Services Expo will be held in Korotasere, Vaturova in the province of Cakaudrove on May 28 to 29.
